History tells us that the Assyrian Nation has been existing in Bet Nahrain ( Mesopotamia - Greek given name ), Iraq today for over 8,000 years. Assyriologists and Archaeologists, date back the Assyrian Nation's history as far as over 20,000 years or even longer unspecified and unknown number of years. The Assyrians through their intellectual skills and wisdom, through their physical, social, mental powers and through their understanding of the power of UNITY, succeeded in creating the great and longest standing Empire in the world. The Assyrian Empire engaged in numerous fields of inventive and creative activities, including uniting all the other small undisciplined pockets of unknown tribes that were causing unrest times in their Empire. Then the Assyrians created Law & Order with great success in their Assyrian Empire, which enabled them to achieve the first World Civilisation in all the fields of life ( Education, Industry, Trade & Commerce, Warfare, Law & Order, Irrigation, Sewer & Plumbing, Medical & Pharmaceuticals, Astronomy, Construction & Architecture, Arts & Musical Instruments, Lens & Astronomy magnifying instruments, the world's yearly calendar with its four seasons, months, time with hours, minutes etc. That are used today. In fact, their inventive creativity was and still is found in all their productions and achievements, to make their life comfortable, productive and prosperous ), until the fall of their Umpire by the Medes, with the support of the Babylonian traitors of Babel in 612 B.C. from within the Empire. However, the Medes made sure that the treacherous Babylonians, were treated as deserving traitors without any rights, for their treachery, but the pure Assyrians after the fall of their Empire, continued to rule the land with courageous determination and continued with their inventive creations. They even allowed the Babylonian traitors to live amongst them as equals. How ironic? History is repeating itself today !!!.( unfortunately, once a Traitor, is always a Traitor, and they are showing their traitorous ambitions again). I believe in FORGIVENESS, but, I also believe that in order to forgive a guilty person, that guilty person must admit his/her guilt, show sincere remorse and ask for forgiveness before being forgiven.
Incidentally, the famous Hollywood actor George Kennedy, produced an Excellent DVD on the Internet, where he demonstrated in a beautiful and well studied documentary about the Ancient Assyrians Inventions in all the fields of life. He explained explicitly all the Assyrian Inventions in a very enthusiastic spirit, as if he was a Patriotic Assyrian.
We must mention the very important way in which the Assyrian Kings, managed to govern the huge expanded area of the Assyrian Empire, bearing in mind that the only transport available then, was by foot and on the back of animals, like horses, mules etc., before the Assyrians invented the wheel, which gave them a better transport system. The Kings of Ashur, would take them days and weeks to cover all the Empire. Therefore, the Kings appointed members of their families and qualified relatives to rule their increasing number of main cities. Some of the big cities were Nimrod, Babel, Shergat etc. Some of these relatives who were appointed as city governors/rulers by the Kings of Ashur, would from time to time rebel against their king, and if diplomacy efforts would not work, then the force of arms would solve the problem. As for the Assyrian people of Babel, because of their advanced involvement in Astrology and especially in magic, which was considered very weird and unpopular practice among the Assyrians in general, was making the King of Ashur uncomfortable. The name Chald (MAGIC) was given to the people of Babel as Chald people, because of their involvement in Magic. And the people of Babel (CHALD) eventually became known as the Chaldean ( Magicians) and so that name got stuck accordingly.
In 1503 Rabban Sulaka wanted to change the Assyrian hierarchy family hereditary Church appointing system to election system, among other differences. When he went to the Pope of Rome with his grievance, the Pope welcomed him with open arms and asked him to go back to the Middle East and establish a Church and call it the Catholic Chaldean of Ashurayi church, because Rabban Sulaka's diocese were all Assyrians any way.
The Holy Apostolic Assyrian Catholic Church Of The East of over 2000 years, became Christians by accepting the teachings of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God before He was crucified. According to the documented story of the Assyrian king Abgar Okama, when he heard about the divine power of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and about the maltreatment that Jesus Christ was receiving from the Israeli religious leaders, king Abgar Okama offered Jesus Christ to share his Assyrian kingdom with Him.To cut the story short, king Abgar Okama together with all his Assyrian subjects, immediately believed in the teachings of Jesus Christ, thus became Christians while Jesus Christ was preaching the words of God before His crucifixion, and because of its solid roots, this Holy Apostolic Church fought with undeniable Christian faith of Jesus Christ, and resisted all sorts of temptations and pressures from all directions, especially from the Vatican Roman Catholic Church ever since the early centuries A.D. and till now.
However, unfortunately because of the continuous pressures, a number of its church Hierarchy for all sorts of ideologies and motivations branched off from this Ancient Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church Of The East, like the Assyrian Chaldean Catholic church, Jacobites/Suryani Church, Maronite Church etc., which obviously weakened this great Church, but this great Church withstood all these dangerous splits and all sorts of temptations with a very strong determination faith in Jesus Christ, and at present, it is as strong as ever.
Obviously the Church can only succeed fighting the enemies and evil elements because of its diocese strong devotional loyalty to their Church. The Assyrians fighting for their church, sacrificed numerous Martyrs to protect it from evil elements ever since its inception. They were and still are fighting for the preservation of our church's name as the first Christian Church, which was founded during the times of the Assyrian king Abgar Okama. They also fought against all odds for their nationality freedom and for the preservation of the Assyrian lost Homeland Iraq, by claiming to get back at least part of their lost Homeland in the north of Iraq, as well as the preservation of their Assyrian National name and Identity.
Every Assyrian honour the Martyr Patriarch Mar Benyamin Shomon when he was assasinated by the Kurdish criminal Simko in a cowardly act, when Mar Benyamin accepted the invitation of Simko for mutual peace talks at his home, while Simko had already rounded a big number of his Kurdish criminals hiding over the roofs. When the meeting was terminated, Simko escorted Mar Benyamin to his carriage, and immediately gave his agreed assassination signal to his killers to open fire from a great number of killers over the roofs as he was climbing the carriage. In a few minutes Mar Benyamin together with over 100 body guards fell and died under the hail of bullets. Prior to this tragic incident, Mar Benyamin showed his real Assyrian Patriotism when his brother was taken prisoner by the Kurdish killers, they gave him an ultimatum that unless he will give himself up to the Kurds, they will kill his brother. Mar Benyamin's answer was, I can not sacrifice my nation for the sake of saving my brother. After that the Kurds killed his brother in a cowardly manner. A Kurd would never dare to kill an Assyrian from the front, except always from the back and in a cowardly fashion.
Ever since the fall of the Assyrian Empire in 612 B.C., the Assyrians have maintained their existence with courage, valour and pride against all kinds of enemies trying to crush them. These enemies were and still are from the surrounding foreign nations, as well as from Assyrian traitors from within their Assyrian ranks. This resistance and self preservation struggle has been non-stop, especially in the last 300 - 500 years. The enemies of the Assyrians come from various ambitions to control Iraq. To start with, because the Assyrians are the first nation that accepted Jesus Christ before crucifixion, their Church became the obvious target to divide and weaken the Assyrian Church stronghold, and thus claim the first Christian Church position, especially by the Vatican Roman Catholic church, and the other Roman Catholic churches from France, Spain, Portugal etc., who flooded Iraq with their missionaries to convert the poor and faithful Assyrian Christians to their new churches with bribes.
This was a deliberate action to crush the Assyrian Church, because they only targeted the faithful Christian Assyrians and not the Islamic Kurds, the Turks, nor the Persians. The Vatican's anti-Assyrian Church attitude has been so evident that they branded our Assyrian Church as NESTORIAN Church with Rabban Nestorous as the founder of the Assyrian Church around 400 A.D. In fact, Rabban Nestorous joined our already established Church before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The Assyrian Church accepted Rabban Nestorous Christian faith, because his Christianity belief coincided with that of our Assyrian Church. ( His disagreement with the Vatican was that he believed that Virgin Mary is the mother of MAN and not The GOD, which is exactly what our Assyrian Church believes, but Vatican believes that Virgin Mary is the mother of GOD among other discrepancies which are not necessary to explain now).
We the Assyrians are proud of our Church to accept Rabban Nestorous, and who gave the right to the Roman Catholics to call our Church heretic. In fact, in my opinion, that is an act against the teachings of God, and any act by any Christian Church against another Christian church's belief is committing an act of BLASPHEMY ( In Oxford Dictionary, it says blasphemy is to speak irreverently " disrespectful " about God or sacred things", profane or sacrilegious talk about God or sacred things ). I think that the Roman Catholic Church had committed an act of BLASPHEMY by calling the first Christian church that believed in Jesus Christ as The Son Of God before He was Crucified as HERETIC. In fact the Roman Catholic Church, by branding our church as heretic, they inadvertently are branding themselves as HERETIC, as the well afore illustration..
Then there is the crucial subject of Ethnicity.The Assyrians, the creation of God, were blessed with a rich fertile land and with abundance of water from the two rivers the Tigris and the Euphrates, coming down from north of Iraq to the south and into the Persian Gulf. The Assyrian Empire's creativity power, was another conquering target to control the Assyrians' wealth. Agriculturally, Iraq used to supply all the neighbouring countries with their agricultural needs from its fertile land (We were taught these facts in Primary School).
Iraq USED to produce the best AMBAR rice and the best DATES in the world ). With the natural resources of mines, minerals, oil, uranium etc., Iraq became a precious conquering target to possess its commodities by bribes, diplomacy or through the creations of war. Geographically, Iraq is where you can see today among various ancient Assyrian Empire antiquity treasures "The Tree Of Adam", which I visited as well as almost all the other Assyrian antiquities before leaving Iraq 40 years ago. Iraq is in the centre of the world, and its legitimate indigenous people the Assyrians, are credited with their intelligent creation of the first world civilisation, became a target to possess that wealth of wisdom, which is why archaeologists from around the world flooded Iraq like hungry wolves to excavate the Assyrian cuniform wisdom tablets and other antiquities.
Today, the world is benefiting from this wealth of unsurpassed knowledge. The archaeologists of today tell us that there still are untapped and not translated yet clay tablets full of wealth of knowledge (Clay tablets in cuneiform writing) which are stored in hidden places by foreign countries and in world museums. Then we have the precious natural commodities in Oil, Mines, Minerals, Uranium etc., which the world powers will create world wars to control this natural wealth for their security and to maintain their World Order Superiority. In fact, the invading leaders admit publicly that they plan wars to maintain the security and safety of their countries. At one time Saddam Hussein was stopped from selling the production of the rich Iraq Uranium. The question is, what motivated him to stop talking about selling this precious commodity so suddenly, which would have helped Iraq's economy ? and what happened to this Uranium ? Does any one know who really was Saddam Hussein ? Was he a joke, a puppet or was he serious ? It is a $ 64.00 question !!!
At last we come to the Assyrian problem at hand, the Assyrians since 2600 years have been fighting for the preservation of their Homeland Iraq, fighting for the preservation of their Assyrian name and their National identity, to maintain their existence as a free nation in their own legitimate Homeland Iraq of over 20,000 years. After the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003, and the liberation of Iraq, the Assyrians were expecting their salvation from the threats of the Islamic Arabs and the Kurds, by the Americans, Iraq's liberators/occupiers, to establish a Self Haven Region for the Assyrians in the Assyrian Triangle and in Ninweh Planes, with their own security force to defend themselves, and in their own Self Haven Regional Government within the Iraqi Central Government Constitution supported by the UN General Assembly. Unfortunately, instead the American government took our homeland away from us and gave it to the Kurds, as a reward for supporting them with the aid of the Israelis, that have been supporting the Kurds with funds, artillery and Israeli war training facilities ever since the Monarchy Regime.
Mullah Mustapha al-Barazani and the Israeli leaders had numerous meetings ever since the Iraqi Monarchy Government. This Jewish support for the Kurds was strengthened during Saddam Hussein's Regime. Mr. Bush Sr. gave the Kurds autonomy and protection from Saddam Hussein. Mr. Bush Jr. compounded this support by completely giving away our Assyrian Country to the Kurds as their KICK BACK gift for their support against Saddam Hussein from the north, which was already occupied by the Kurds, with Mr. Bush Sr. Seal Of Approval. Mr. Bush Jr. completely ignored the Assyrians as the Original Indigenous people of Iraq deliberately. Mr. Bush's Jr. Democracy Invasion of Saddam Hussein was a HOGWASH. Mr. Bush Jr. invaded Iraq to control Iraq and its natural mineral treasures, and in the process, he did not even think or care of the number of Iraqi people or the American soldiers that will be killed, as long as he wins the war, eat his lollies and occupy Iraq with full control of its abundance of wealth.
Without any financial and security support, The Assyrians found themselves isolated and without arms to protect themselves against a vicious enemy with specific plans of Assyrian mass Cleansing, and to be eradicated from their own Homeland Iraq. So the criminal Islamic fanatics having been given a carte-blanche support for Assyrian Cleansing, started with their criminal mission of killing, raping of children and women, forcing the Assyrians to convert to Islam or be killed, ordering the Assyrians to leave their homes with only their cloths on or be killed etc. So the Assyrians having found themselves isolated, defenceless, hungry from lack of employment and in danger of their lives, they desperately looked for the quickest way to flee Iraq, which is why there are now over 700 Assyrians from all the Christian churches in Jordan and Syria, that are living under atrocious conditions and under the very eyes of the American Army liberators !!! ( JUST IMAGINE, THE IRONY OF THE FACT THAT, ONE OF THE REASONS THAT THE ISLAMIC FANATICS KILL THE ASSYRIANS IS, BEFORE THEY CUT THEIR HEADS WITH A BLUNT KNIFE, THEY TELL THEM THAT THEY ARE KILLING THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE FRIENDS OF THE AMERICANS ). What a joke ? Can any genius explain to me this Conspiracy ? The Americans, threw us to the criminal Islamic killers to be cleansed from our legitimate Homeland Iraq. The criminal Islamic fanatics kill us for being friends with our American killers that sold us for 30 dirty pieces of silver. THIS IS THE MOTHER OF ALL CRIMES by the Americans, the British, the Arabs, the Kurds, the Israelis. ( WHO ELSE ? ). I believe that even if the disciple JUDAS who betrayed and sold Jesus Christ for 30 pieces of silver was here today, his blood would curdle, and he would refuse to betray a great ancient nation for 30 DIRTY pieces of silver. Therefore, Mr. Bush Sr. and Mr. Bush Jr.., I, as a bleeding Assyrian, for seeing and feeling the suffering of my INNOCENT & DEFENCELESS Assyrians because of your deliberate Assyrian Systemic Cleansing direct or indirect actions to eradicate my people from their Ancient Legitimate Homeland Iraq of over than 20,000 years, I curse you both as the two Presidents of USA for causing these atrocities against my INNOCENT & DEFENCELESS people. For your information, if any of the Properly Armed Fighting Assyrians die while protecting his life, his family, his church and especially fighting for his Assyrian Nation, I assure you that I will be rejoicing with flying the Assyrian Banner of Victory in his Honour as a MARTYR for my Assyrian Nation. That means, Mr. Presidents, that I would see my people die fighting with guns and amunition, rather the die defenceless without Arms. YOU MADE IT HAPPEN. For whatever that is worth, LIVE WITH IT !!!
At this dangerous and crucial time after 2003, the Assyrians from all Christian churches had a sacred duty to unite with each other and demand from the INVADERS of Iraq to grant them ( as United ) the safe and secured Self Haven Region to govern themselves with their own security from these Islamic criminal fanatic insurgents from both the Arabs and the Kurds. But, suddenly out of the blue, the Assyrians from the Chaldean Catholics and the Suryani Orthodox/Catholics churches, started talking for the first time ever, demanding their rights in their church names ( Chaldeans & Suryanies ) as their national names, and rejected to be part of their original Assyrian National Roots. Most probably, this act of Treason was a blessing to our enemies which they used as a weapon to deprive the Assyrians from their legitimate rights in their homeland Iraq because of DISUNITY. The fact that this unexpected sudden change of behaviour, was a deliberate action to deprive the Assyrians from getting their country back to them. This cowardly act is the mother of all Treacherous acts against their original Assyrian brothers. History is very clear to all the Assyrians that the Assyrian Suryanies and the Assyrian Chaldean Catholics, were never interested in their Assyrian Liberation Politics at all. While the Assyrians were fighting the Arabs, the Kurds, the Turks and the Persians for the preservation of their Homeland Iraq and for the preservation of their Assyrian National name and identity, the Assyrian Chaldeans and Suryanies were busy in various business activities such as, catering, hotels, grocery shops, entertaining etc. Apparently, the smell and colour of the mighty Dollar inspired their evil Anti Assyrians Propaganda teachings by their churches Hierarchy.
The Assyrians gave numerous martyr sacrifices in their struggle for their Assyrian Freedom. In fact, the 3000 martyred Assyrians that were slaughtered in Semeli by the Iraqi Army under the criminal Iraqi General Baker Sidki of Kurdish nationality, together with the criminal Kurds barbarically, is branded in the hearts and minds of all the Assyrians globally to remember forever. This massacre was the result of the British's Premeditated Evil Plan to quash the Assyrian Freedom Fighting Spirit once and for all, after the British refused to honour their promise of returning the Assyrian Homeland back to the Assyrians, for their sacrifice and support in winning their war with the Ottoman Empire in the Hakkari Mountains and in Europe in the two World Wars. This betrayal of the Assyrians by handing our Legitimate Homeland to the newly formed Iraqi Government under the Hashemite King Faisal 1, will never be forgotten nor forgiven. The Semeli massacre was orchestrated by the British Evil Intelligence. Because they knew that the brave Assyrians are great fighters, the British advised the Assyrian in Semeli to surrender their guns to the newly formed Iraqi government authorities as a goodwill gesture. Unfortunately, the Semeli Assyrian Villagers trusted the British and handed over their guns. To their surprise, the Iraqi Army immediately mobilised their Army under the criminal Iraqi General Baker Sidki in the darkness of night and attacked the defenceless villagers of Semeli, and fired discriminately. Then they rounded the remaining helpless Assyrians in the streets. They killed the men young and old. They used to lift the children and throw them in the air, and put their rifle with its bayonet knife under the falling child over the sharp knife, under the watchful eyes of the crying mothers.They raped the women in the open by single soldiers or by multiple of soldiers raping one woman simultaneously. When they finished raping all the women, then they stripped them naked and laid them on the ground, and drove the trucks over them several times while the intoxicated soldiers with their criminal Iraqi Kurdish General Baker Sidki enjoying the view. This Semeli Massacre is branded in the minds and hearts of every Assyrian in the world, as " THE ASSYRIANS MARTYR DAY " It is a day to curse the British government with its people for ever, a day to curse the Iraqi government, a day to curse the Kurdish people, and most of all, it is day for the Assyrians all around the world to remember all the MARTYRS of their brothers and sisters that sacrificed their precious lives for their Assyrian Nation in the past..
Personally, I can not comprehend this extent of hatred from the Anti-Assyrian Chaldeans & Anti-Assyrian Suryanies against their pure original Assyrian brothers. I have come to believe that the power behind this unbelievable hatred is, the Chaldean & the Suryanis church Hierarchy, with orders from Vatican and the Suryani Church Hierarchy, which created this division in our Assyrian Nation, when they sent their missionaries to take away our Assyrian Jesus Christ's faithful members of 2000 years, and change them to their new Catholic Chaldean Jesus Christ faith, as well as to their Suryani' Orthodox Jesus Christ's faith. Can any one tell me, what is the difference between the Jesus Christ of the Assyrians, and between the Jesus Christ of each of the Chaldean Catholics and the Suryani Orthodox ? Only the church Hierarchy of these two Christian faiths can answer that mystery and if they can't, then I will answer it for them. When these missionaries went to Iraq, why did they not convert one single Muslim to their Christianity faith ? I will tell you why. Because they would have had their heads chopped off by the Moslems.
So if we come to a complete understanding, that it is the Churches Hierarchy of the Assyrian Catholic Chaldeans and the Assyrian Orthodox Suryanies that are causing this HATRED DIVISION. And if we accept without any shadow of doubt that these Church Hierarchy are thrusting their evil knife into the UNITY of our Assyrian Nationality, then the diocese from all the Assyrian Churches must wake up and save their existence before it is too late and sack these undesirable Hierarchy members completely, and exchange them with a new blood of Churches Hierarchy. If we do that, then we are free from this chronic DISEASE, and thus all the Assyrians will be UNITED as One Nation with different Christian Churches. At that time, we will find that all the Assyrians will live in peace with each other in our returned back Assyrian Homeland in Iraq, and in our own Assyrian Self Haven Regional Assyrian Government.
Just imagine, how great, how peaceful, how productive, how safe and secured and what a pleasant environment will be for all the Assyrians with all their different Christian Churches, when they are all working, living and mixing together as ONE people in ONE country - ASSYRIA.
