The great Assyrian author, novelist and critic Yoel Oraham Baba passed away following a long battle with illness in the State of California - United States. The Assyrian nation has lost one of its notable authors who has joined many who preceded him, they all enriched the Assyrian literature to remain a guiding beacon and an enlightening heritage for the coming generations.
Our heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Yoel Baba, his wife Alice, son Raman, daughter Sargina, his brother Emanuel Baba, his old friend the Assyrian author Rabi (teacher) Daniel Beit Benyamin, and the Assyrian nation for this great loss.
May he rest in peace and may his family be consoled.
