Gunmen kill an Assyrian University student and injure another in Mosul

According to a police source in Nineveh province, unknown gunmen intercepted on Tuesday morning the way of two university students, Zaia Toma and Ramsin Shmael in al-Arabi neighborhood in Mosul. The gunmen shot and killed Zaia Toma, a student at the Faculty of Engineering and injured Ramsin Shmael, a student at the Faculty of Pharmacy, the injured student was taken to a hospital north of Mosul.
The police source added: "the gunmen attacked the two students while on their way to Mosul University. The two students are Assyrians and residents of Baghdad but they were living near the Monastery of Mar Giwargis (St. George) in the northern part of Mosul".
May the victim who was killed rest in peace and may his family be consoled.
