American soldier killed in Diala

The U.S. forces in Iraq announced in a statement the death of one of its soldiers who was killed when his patrol was attacked on Sunday in the province of Diala north-east of Baghdad. The statement did not release the name of the soldier pending notification of his family.
The death of this soldier brings to 4373 the number of American soldiers killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003.
