Assyrian New Year: Nissan 6761
Another year has passed so fast, and here is Nissan at our doors again, so how will we welcome its coming and what shall we say?
Another year has passed while Assyria still enduring tyranny and slavery, under the influence of some dwarfs who have smothered the voice of freedom, and slaves whom we thought were the men to carry the Cause, but they turned to be nothing more than false witnesses and ferocious wolves smelling blood and preys, who sacrificed Assyria (Ashur) at the altar of their despicable desires, they were paid for their betrayal as they allowed the murderers to spill the Assyrian blood, then they sat to watch how the wolves ravaged the Assyrian victims.
Nissan ... We were hopeful that you would visit to find us in better conditions, but nothing has changed, on the contrary we are in worse state.
Nissan ... We will continue to hope and keep the covenant which our martyrs created, our elderly, our children, our mothers, our widows, our fathers, our youth, our women and our daughters, all those shall continue the righteous procession and not that of cowardice and humiliation which has been followed by some merchants who are falsely claiming to be Assyrians while the Assyrian Nation disowns them and their actions. Loud cries shall continue because righteousness does not die.
Many were patient and offered sacrifices so that we may live, thus we shall not fail them and we shall all be the voice for the voiceless.
Nissan ... On behalf of Assyria (Ashur) ... In the name of liberty and freedom from slavery, we wish the Assyrian Nation a hopeful Assyrian New Year 6761 and a continuation of the righteous un-humiliated procession which makes us proud that we belong to the mighty Assyrians who did not bow their heads.
